City Park on the corner of East North and Wood Streets in Kilgore is the city’s outdoor events space where town folks gather for the Fourth of July Extravaganza, Juneteenth, and Fridays After 5 free concert series at the large amphitheater. It’s also a popular space where families and friends can spend time outdoors playing horseshoes and barbecuing at one of the pavilions scattered throughout the park.

The huge lawn offers ample space for kicking a ball, throwing frisbees, and flying kites. The skate park, featuring a partial bowl, half pipe, and raised platforms, is one of the most popular spots for young people in town, and the Lazy Splash Ranch keeps the little ones cool throughout the summer months.

2. Martin Luther King Junior Park
