Performance is key with the 2017 Challenger. There are three different engines. One engine is a 3.6-liter with 305 horsepower that accelerates from 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds. There is a 5.7 HEMI V-8 and a 6.4-liter V8 engine. There are different drive modes that let the driver personalize their driving experience by controlling horsepower, transmission shift speed, steering, paddle shifter, traction, and suspension. The modes are Sport, Track, Default, and Custom. The V6 gets an estimated 30 mpg on the highway and has enhanced performance because of the sport mode and paddle-shifting capabilities.

The Challenger has a muscle car feel with five seats and two doors. There are five trim levels: SXT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat. The Super Sport package comes with 20-inch wheels, a shorter rear-axle ratio, the performance brakes from the R/T, steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles and a rear spoiler. You can get a Challenger with the retro-style and hood style if that's what you want. The Blacktop package adds black-colored exterior trim and incorporates features from other packages.
